BuzzBudget ("the App", "we", "our", or "us") is a personal finance management and expense tracking mobile application developed by BuzzwareTech. We value your trust and are fully committed to protecting your privacy and personal financial information.
This Privacy Policy applies to the BuzzBudget application and associated services provided by BuzzwareTech. By creating an account, downloading, or using BuzzBudget, you signify that you have read, understood, and agreed to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

- Account Data: Personal information such as your name, email address, profile credentials, and authentication provider tokens (e.g., Google or Apple Sign-In).
- Financial Records: Income, expense transactions, budget categories, bill reminders, savings targets, and financial analytics data generated or entered within the App.
- SMS & Email Transaction Data: Transaction alerts, amounts, merchant names, and timestamps extracted automatically from supported financial SMS messages or email notifications upon explicit user permission.
- Device Information: Technical identifiers including operating system type, device model, IP address, app version, and crash diagnostic logs.
- Service Provider: Trusted third-party infrastructure platforms (such as Firebase and Google AdMob) engaged by BuzzwareTech to operate, maintain, or monetize the App.
3. Information We Collect
Depending on how you configure and interact with BuzzBudget, we collect the following categories of information:
- Account Credentials & Profile Information: Email address, full name, profile photo, and secure authentication tokens provided during registration or when signing in via Google Sign-In or Apple Sign-In.
- Financial & Budgeting Records: Transaction amounts, custom category tags, budget limits, account balances, recurring expense schedules, and savings goals that you manually enter or import into the App.
- Automated Transaction Records (Optional): Transaction amounts, merchant details, and date/time stamps parsed from financial notifications when you enable automated SMS or email transaction parsing.
- Technical & Usage Diagnostics: IP address, device type, OS version, app performance logs, and error diagnostic traces needed to optimize app performance and secure infrastructure.
4. SMS & Email Access Permissions
BuzzBudget offers an optional feature that automatically detects and logs income or expense transactions by parsing notification messages sent by supported banking and financial institutions.
Strict Privacy Safeguard: BuzzBudget only processes financial transaction notifications. We do not read, store, or transmit personal messages, OTPs (One-Time Passwords), or unrelated private communications. All transaction parsing occurs locally on your device or via secure encrypted channels strictly for transaction logging. This data is NEVER sold, rented, or shared with third parties for marketing purposes.
Granting SMS or Notification access is completely optional. You can deny or revoke these permissions at any time via your device settings (Settings → Apps → BuzzBudget → Permissions).
5. How We Use Your Information
We use the collected information strictly for legitimate operational purposes, including to:
- Provide, operate, and optimize personal budgeting, expense tracking, and financial summary features.
- Synchronize your financial data securely across all of your registered devices.
- Generate personalized financial insights, category analytics, and monthly budget summaries.
- Authenticate user logins and secure your account against unauthorized access or fraud.
- Send critical account alerts, bill payment reminders, and essential app updates.
- Monitor app performance, diagnose technical crashes, and improve overall usability.
6. Data Storage & Encryption
We implement robust industry-standard technical and organizational security measures to protect your financial data:
- Authentication: Identity management is handled securely via Firebase Authentication, Google Identity, and Apple Sign-In services.
- Cloud Database: Remote user data and encrypted backups are stored using Cloud Firestore infrastructure equipped with SSL/TLS encryption in transit and AES-256 encryption at rest.
- Local Device Storage: On-device data is secured using encrypted local storage solutions to prevent unauthorized extraction.
While we enforce strict end-to-end security protocols, please note that no electronic storage method or transmission over the internet can be guaranteed 100% secure.
7. Data Sharing & Third-Party Services
BuzzwareTech does NOT sell your personal or financial data to third parties.
We only share data with essential third-party service providers required for core app operation, security, and analytics. These service providers process data in accordance with their respective privacy policies:
- Google Cloud Platform & Firebase: Authentication, cloud database storage, hosting, and crash analytics (Google Privacy Policy).
- Google Sign-In & Apple Sign-In: OAuth authentication protocols (Apple Privacy Policy).
- Legal Authorities: Disclosure may occur if required by law, subpoena, court order, or to protect the vital security rights of our users or platform.
8. Advertising (Google AdMob)
BuzzBudget may display advertisements powered by Google AdMob. To serve relevant ad content and protect against fraud, Google AdMob may collect and process limited non-sensitive device identifiers (such as Advertising ID), IP address, and general demographic data.
You can manage personalized ad preferences or opt out of targeted advertising through your mobile device settings (e.g., Google Settings → Ads on Android, or Settings → Privacy → Tracking on iOS).
9. Data Retention & Account Deletion
We retain your personal and financial information for as long as your BuzzBudget account remains active or as needed to provide our services, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.
Account Deletion: You have full ownership of your data. You may request complete account deletion at any time directly through the app settings or by submitting a written request to info@buzzwaretech.com. Upon account deletion, all associated cloud database records and authentication profiles will be permanently purged from our active systems.
10. Your Privacy Rights & Choices
Regardless of your geographic location, you retain the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Access & Export: Request a copy of the personal and financial data stored in your account.
- Correction: Modify or update inaccurate profile details or financial entries.
- Deletion: Request permanent removal of your account and associated financial data.
- Permission Revocation: Enable or disable SMS reading, notification access, or device storage permissions at any time through system settings.
11. GDPR & CCPA Privacy Compliance
European Economic Area (GDPR)
If you reside in the EEA, you have specific rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), including the right to data portability, restriction of processing, and lodging a complaint with a supervisory data protection authority.
California Residents (CCPA / CalOPPA)
Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and CalOPPA, California users have the right to know what personal data is collected, request data deletion, and be free from discrimination for exercising privacy rights. BuzzwareTech does not sell personal information.

BuzzBudget is intended strictly for general audiences and is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under 13.
