To provide you with local weather forecasts and relevant advertising, we collect the following types of information:

Location Data:
- Precise / Approximate Location: We request access to your device’s location (GPS/Network) to show weather forecasts, alerts, and severe weather updates for your current location.
- Background Location (Widget Support): If you enable our home screen or lock screen widgets, the App may access your location in the background to update weather data periodically on your widgets.
Device and Usage Information: IP address, device type, operating system version, app usage statistics, and unique device identifiers (such as IDFA on iOS or Advertising ID on Android).
Ad-Related Data: Information collected by third-party advertising partners to display personalized or non-personalized ads.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected data for the following purposes:

To deliver real-time weather forecasts, hourly/daily conditions, and radar data.
To update home screen and lock screen widgets with accurate weather metrics.
To serve in-app advertisements (which help support our free app).
To analyze app performance, fix crashes, and improve user experience.

3. Third-Party Services & Ad Networks

We partner with third-party service providers to deliver weather forecasts and display advertisements. These providers may collect or receive information through built-in SDKs:

Weather API Providers: Used solely to fetch forecast data based on your coordinates or requested cities.
Advertising Networks (e.g., Google AdMob): Used to display banner, interstitial, or native ads. Ad networks may use device identifiers to deliver targeted advertisements based on your preferences.
Analytics Services (e.g., Firebase Analytics): Used to monitor app usage and stability.

4. Location Permissions & Control

You can control or revoke location permissions at any time through your device settings:

iOS: Go to Settings > Privacy & Security > Location Services > Weather Wind - BuzzwareTech.
Android: Go to Settings > Apps > Weather Wind - BuzzwareTech > Permissions > Location.

If location access is denied, you can still search for and view weather forecasts for manually searched cities, but local automatic forecasts and widget updates will be limited.

5. Data Retention & Security

We do not store your exact personal location history on our own servers. Location coordinates are transmitted securely over HTTPS to weather service providers to fetch forecast data and are not saved permanently. We take reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect all processed data.

6. Children's Privacy

Our App is not intended for children under the age of 13 (or 16 in certain jurisdictions). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected data from a child, please contact us so we can delete it immediately.
